We support Historic England’s ‘Constructive Conservation’ approach to maintain our ancient buildings but on occasion allow them to change to develop alongside modern needs.
After carefully evaluating significance for each structure we ensure any changes are undertaken sensitively and with consideration for preserving the best of what has been created by previous generations. We believe alterations and repairs should always be done to the best of our ability and provided our work is of the best quality we should not be ashamed of the contribution our generation makes to the history of English Architecture.
At Priory Heritage every project is individual
We have been conserving, repairing and overseeing new works to historic buildings and Churches since 1987 and during that time the company has undertaken a great many historic conservation projects. Priory Heritage continue to provide conservation and repair advice over a wide spectrum of historic properties from small routine maintenance contracts of a few thousand pounds to larger extensive restoration contracts or new build projects with budgets of many hundreds of thousands of pounds.
Priory Heritage have coordinated many Historic England and Heritage Lottery Fund grant aided contracts over the years and also provide heritage consultancy services supporting other Architects / clients on million pound + projects throughout London and Home Counties.
Priory Heritage Ltd are not building contractors but can arrange work with a selection of specialist contractors experienced in conservation projects. Our advice on appointment of a suitable contractor will vary according to
project size and the key skills needed for the work.
